SCM manufactures a range of Custom Designed Equipment suitable for most applications including Automatic In-Line Slitting and Winding Applications.
Silk City Machine will custom design and engineer equipment to suit your specific products and your application needs.
The SCM A-frame Tandem Winding System is designed for a Continuous A-frame winding operation with a Minimum amount of delay time during the A-frame Roll Changeover and Removal and for Stenter Re-Start.
The System offers automatic uniform control of fabric width with knit or with heavy dense fabrics.
The System controls the width by controlling tension on either single or multiple fabric panel winding.
The System will also automatically control the desired winding fabric roll density being wound.
The Operating Speed of the Winding System is regulated by the Special Custom Designed Compensator
System Supplied based on Individual Customer Fabric Requirements and Needs.
The Automatic “SAT” Single Arm Tandem Winding System offers a Unique A-frame Winding System which Uses both Surface and Center Winding Processes with Fabric Guiding and Tension Control.
The System has Two Center Driven A-frame Winding Stations with a Single Lay-On Arm. The “SAT” System will wind either a Single Fabric Panel at Full Width or Two Split Fabric Panels onto One A-frame Unit at the First Winding Station.
Once the first A-frame Roll is completely wound, The Single Lay-On Arm will automatically raise and Traverse to the second A-frame Winding Station. The operator will Manually Cut and tape the fabric panel tail to the empty A-frame Roll Core.
Once the fabric has been taped to the Core, the Stenter and Batcher Systems will Re-start and all drives will Ramp back to the set frame line speed.
The Full A-frame at the Winding Station can then be removed and replaced with an empty A-frame Unit for the next A-frame Fabric Roll Transfer. Average “Stop / Start” Changeover time for this System is 1 to 2 minute.
